Van Moody Ministries ("we," "us," or "our") operates vanmoody.org and the related online learning platform, podcast, blog, and ministry resources (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Services. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect information you provide directly, information generated automatically through your use of our Services, and information from third-party sources.
Information you provide directly includes your name, email address, billing address, and payment method details when you register for an account, enroll in a course, make a purchase, or subscribe to our newsletter. If you contact us through the website, we also collect the content of your message.
Information collected automatically includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, time spent on pages, and device identifiers. This information is collected through cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies described in the Cookies section below.
Course and learning data includes your progress through courses, quiz scores, assessment responses, and certificates earned. This data is used to deliver the learning experience and issue certificates of completion.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

- To process payments and send transaction confirmations and receipts.
- To track your course progress, issue certificates, and send completion reminders.

All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or card expiration date on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information and is available at stripe.com/privacy.
We retain records of your purchases (amount, date, course or product purchased) for accounting, tax compliance, and customer support purposes.
6. Email Communications
When you create an account or enroll in a course, we may send you transactional emails such as account confirmations, purchase receipts, course completion reminders, and certificate notifications. These emails are necessary to deliver the Services and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
We also send promotional emails — including ministry updates, new course announcements, and newsletter content — only to users who have opted in. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any such email or by contacting us at [email protected].
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services.
